2025 Cooley-Jericho Community Forest Glade Workday

Greetings Trail Heroes and Backcountry Enthusiasts, 

Coming up on Saturday, November 15th, there will be a glade maintenance workday at the Cooley-Jericho Community Forest. Beginning at 10am and wrapping up mid-afternoon, ACT staff will lead volunteers in performing routine maintenance on various parts of the backcountry glade system, including Glades 1+2 and the initial decent of Glades 3+4. Trail work will include moving downed branches, cutting and removing blowdowns, and addressing the new undergrowth within the glades. ACT will have tools for volunteers to use, but if you are able to bring your own loppers, handsaw, or other useful equipment that would be greatly appreciated.

Those joining us should be prepared for a day in the woods on and off trail. Wear boots and work gloves, bring plenty of water and snacks/lunch, and dress appropriately for the weather. The rain date for this workday will be the following Saturday, November 22nd. If weather is good both weekends, we will be hosting another trial workday at Cooley-Jericho on the 22nd on the Yellow Trail and Ski-out trail.
