The Little Brook that Changed the World: NH's Hubbard Brook

  • Franconia Elementary School 149 Main Street Franconia, NH, 03580 United States (map)

Please join ACT and the Abbie Greenleaf Library in Franconia, to learn all about the incredible work being done at the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation. Leading the discussion is Executive Director, Anthea Lavallee, who has a front-row seat to one of the most dynamic and influential ecosystem studies in the world.

Anthea will delve into how NH's Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study helps shape environmental policy and practice, from acid rain to climate change.

Throughout the evening, Anthea will share key discoveries from research being done including on acid rain, the impacts of forest cutting on water quality and quantity, and climate change consequences. We will also learn the connections between Hubbard Brook research and our economy, ecology, culture, and quality of life as citizens of the Northern Forest.
