ACT's next mid-week summer walk is in Franconia at the Lawrence Forest on Wednesday, August 28th, at 10 a.m. Bring a friend and join us for an easy walk along the trails of the Lawrence Forest and Fox Hill Park. Enjoy the sights and sounds of summer in the North Country as we walk along the Meadow Brook, looking for beaver, birds, and other wildlife.
After the walk, take a load off and get social with your fellow walkers. Bring a bag lunch to stay for an optional post-walk picnic across the street from the ACT offices. Dine al fresco and chat at a beautiful spot along the Gale River on the Green Frog trail.
The mid-week summer walks are open to all ages and abilities. This walk is a loop, approximately 2 miles long with some mild elevation gains/losses. Kids are encouraged to come but please leave your pups at home.
