Join us in Sugar Hill on Saturday, July 28 for the 2nd of ACT's Summer 'Shoes & Brews Series. Take the long way round to the views from cabin with a wooded walk through the Foss Forest and down to the Bronson Hill Conservation Area fields. This magnificent land is currently being conserved with ACT by its generous landowner and through the support of ACT members. It adds to an already significant unfragmented tract which will total approx. 600 acres of forest that is home to wildlife and features splendid views of Franconia Notch.
The walk will start at 2 p.m. and last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. We'll be moving at a moderate pace along old woods roads and to the beautiful open fields on Bronson Hill. We'll stop at the historic cabin and enjoy sweeping views of Franconia Ridge and beyond. Kids are encouraged to come along and dogs are welcome!
After the walk there is a 30 minute window for the group to make it's way to the Sunset Hill Tavern. We will reconvene for snacks and refreshments at approximately 4:00 p.m. to catch up with old friends and get to know new ones! All are welcome (bring a friend!) and are free to come and go as needed. The event will officially run from 4:00 p.m. to about 5:30 p.m. but you're invited to stay and enjoy the delicious fare at the Sunset Hill Tavern.
Registration for the hike portion of this event is required - for your safety and enjoyment we must cap the walk at 15 participants so please be sure to pre-register ASAP. Be aware registration closes on Friday, July 27th. Once registered, you will receive an e-mail with details on the meeting location. Registration for Sunset Hill Tavern is appreciated so organizers can plan accordingly.
Not able to make it to both portions? You can join either or both. If you're only coming to Sunset Hill Tavern, please bring a friend(s)!
