A New Way to Enjoy Foss & MacCornack-Evelyn Forests!

Download ACT’s brand new self-guided interpretive walk for the Foss and MacCornack-Evelyn Forests in the Bronson Hill Conservation Area.

The walk follows the lower part of the Schaller Trail and heads onto the MacCornack-Evelyn Trail with 8 stops total. Follow along to get a glimpse into the natural, as well as human, history of the land. Along the way you will see a bat box, old farm equipment, the remains of a spring house, and other interesting items.

Start at the parking area off Pearl Lake Road for a moderate walk with a total round-trip mileage of 1.2 miles and about 250 feet of elevation gain.  If you’d like to continue hiking after you complete the interpretive walk, you can hike the rest of the Schaller Trail loop or detour down the Foss Path before you return to the parking area.

A big thanks to ACT Member, Trustee, and super volunteer Joanne Jones for creating the walk and handout!
