  • Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust 729 Main Street Franconia, NH, 03580 United States (map)

Come explore the Godfrey Memorial Conservation Area, the fourth of ACT's summer hikes is extra special because this land not open to the public. The land owner is generously allowing us to come on with a group for this hike only! Home to stunning views of the White Mountains, open fields, and plenty of wildlife. This conservation area, a former dairy farm, provides critical habitat for bats, which hibernate in the caves not far from the property. We'll be learning about some of the natural as well as the historical interests of this conserved land, which not only holds critical bat habitat but also has an old goldmine on the property.
